Why do businesses use an interim manager?

Interim consultants can usually start within days (rather than the lengthy permanent recruitment process at this level) and will have minimal termination formalities.

They are able to transfer skills, contacts and experience to an executive team, ensuring their value is felt long after the assignment has ended, leaving a sustainable legacy.

An interim manager has past experience of the challenges they are about to face and bring immediate ideas to these challenges. Additionally they are not constrained by any internal issues, such as company process and relationships, when making recommendations.
